About the Program

The Kennett Library Adult Literacy Program (ALP) provides free English instruction to adult learners in our community. Whether you're just beginning to learn English or looking to improve your skills, we have classes and resources to help you succeed.

Our dedicated volunteer tutors and instructors create a welcoming environment where students can build confidence while developing essential language skills for work, daily life, and citizenship.

Our Programs

In-Person Classes

Small group classes at various skill levels, held at the library with experienced instructors.

ALP Online

Virtual learning options including video lessons and online conversation practice.

Conversation Groups

Practice speaking English in a supportive group setting with other learners.

For Students

All classes are free and open to adult learners. No registration fees, no textbook costs — just bring your willingness to learn.
